| “Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and seen a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples lives have we been in? We’re part of someone’s life when their dreams come true? Or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shock take us by surprise? Just think, you’d be a big part of someone else’s life… and not even know it” -Lucas Scott "One Tree Hill"
... Some are running scared ... ... Some are coming home ... ... Some tell lies to make it through the day ... ... Other's so just now facing the true ... ... Some are evil man that war with Good ... ... and Some are good struggling with Evil ... ... 6 billion people in the world ... ... 6 billion souls ... ... and Sometumes all you need ... is ONE ...
John Steinback once said: "It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of action, we should remember our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world".
Brooke What are you laughing about? Your "I love yous" send people to their grave.
Derek I guess I'm supposed to tell you have too much makeup on, your skirt is too short, and the boys are after only one thing. But you look beautiful.
Haley Why is it that it's so much easier to forgive a stranger than someone you love?
Haley Oh, come on! Tortured artist meets tortured athlete? Talk about your obvious attraction.
Haley You keep going to that bridge.
Lucas Scott Quotes
* But I can't do it. And even worse, I don't know why I can't do it. You know, it's like, no matter how confusing or screwed up life got, the game always made sense. It was mine, you know. And in a lot of ways it's who I am. But I can't be that person in their gym, or in their uniforms, or... in their world.
* Did you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many people have pictures of you.
* Ever wonder how long it takes to change your life? What measure of time is enough to be life-altering? Is it four years, like high school? One year? An eight-week walking tour? Can your life change in a month, or a week, or a single day? We're always in a hurry to grow up, to go places, to get ahead...
* I was there but not to kill you. I saved your life but I should have let you burn.
* Katherine Anne Porter once said: There seems to be a kind of order in the universe... in the movement of the stars and the turning of the Earth and the changing of the seasons. But human life is almost pure chaos. Everyone takes his stance, asserts his own right and feelings, mistaking the motives of others, and his own.
* Many people die with music still in them. Why is that so? Too often it's because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time's run out.
* Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes, a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment... every part of it... will live on forever.
* They're afraid people might find out who they are before they find it out themselves.
* So I'm confused. You want to be anonymous and you let the world watch you on a web cam.
* What are you Keith? An angel? A bad dream?
nna Don't be too fat, or too thin, or too dark, or too light; don't be too sexual, or too chaste, or too smart, or too dumb. Be yourself. But make sure you fit in.
Cooper Listen to me, no matter what happened on that bridge, it was still my fault. Sponsored Links
I knew how old Rachel was, and I didn't walk away. That's not very heroic is it? Anyways, I wouldn't even be alive to say anything if it wasn't for you.
Karen In your life you're going to go to some great places, and you're going to do some wonderful things. But no matter where you go or who you become, this place will always be with you. There is only one Tree Hill. And it's your home.
Keith All right just to recap on the "reasons to stay" side we got: Dan's an ass, you were an ass, my new teaching job, we both get a fresh start, your mother annihilated my heart, and this apartment has a killer view.
Keith Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes.
Lucas She makes me laugh. She's honest. She's not afraid to be herself. Plus, she's not covered head to toe in issues.
Max I kind of always thought you were looking for a little faith. Most days, I think you still are. Then again, I'm 32. I live with my parents. What the hell do I know?
Nathan As Haley James would say: You already know the answer.
Peyton My pen is the barrel of a gun. Remind me which side you should be on.
Peyton Replaying the shot you missed. The shot that ended our season. The shot you probably, what, made a 1,000 times?
Whitey The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair, remember, it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, and those stars lead you back home.
~Some people believe that ravens guide travelers to their destinations. Others believe that the sight of a solitary raven is considered good luck. While more than one raven together, predicts trouble ahead~
~ Every song has a CODA, a final movement. Whether it fades out or crashes away. Every song ends. Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just life.~

| Episode 1: Pilot
Lucas: “There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. But omitted, and the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries... On such a full sea are we now afloat... ...And we must take the current when it serves... ...Or lose the ventures before us.”
Episode 2: The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most
Lucas: “Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists. It is real. It is possible. It is yours.”
Episode 3: Are You True?
Lucas: “E.E. Cummings once wrote, "To be nobody but yourself, in a world which is doing its best, day and night, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle, which any human being can fight and never stop fighting”
Episode 5: All That You Can't Leave Behind
Lucas: “John Steinbeck once wrote “It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world.”
Episode 6: Every Night Is Another Story
Lucas: “As happens sometimes a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone.”
Episode 9: With Arms Outstretched
Lucas: “What a frightening thing is the human, a mass of gages and dials and registers. And we can read only a few. And those perhaps not accurately”
Episode 11: The Living Years
Lucas: “And the little prince said to the man ‘Grownups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always explaining things to them’ ”
Episode 22: The Games That Play All
Lucas: “Some people believe that Ravens guide travelers to their destinations. Others believe that the sight of a solitary raven is considered good luck. While more than one raven together, predicts trouble ahead.”

| Episode 2: The Truth That Doesn’t Make A Noise
Lucas: “T.H. White said; perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically…to those who hardly think about us in return.”
Episode 6: We Might As Well Be Strangers
Lucas: “Katherine Anne Porter once said; There seems to be a kind of order in the universe…in the movement of the stars and the turning of the Earth and the changing of the seasons. But human life is almost pure chaos. Everyone takes his stance, asserts his own right and feelings, mistaking the motives of others, (He pulls a bag of money out of his pocket.) and his own.”
Episode 7: Let The Reigns Go Loose
Lucas: “Oliver Wendell Holmes once said; Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live…Before they know it…time runs out.”
Episode 8: Truth, Bitter Truth
Brooke: “Someone once said; it’s the good girls who keep diaries. The bad girls never have the time. Me… I just wanna live a life I’m gonna remember. Even if I don’t write it down”
Episode 10: Don’t Take Me For Granted
Lucas: “Nathanial Hawthorne once wrote; No man,… for any considerable period,… can wear one face to himself… and another to the multitude,… without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true.”
Episode 11: The Heart Brings You Back
Lucas: “Tennessee Williams once wrote; When so many are lonely… as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone.”
Episode 13: The Hero Dies In This One
Brooke: “John F. Kennedy said the courage of life is a magnificent mixture triumph… and tragedy. A man does what he must, in spite of personal consequences in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures and that is the basis of all morality.”
Episode 14: Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
Lucas: “Octavio Paz once wrote; Solitude is the profoundest fact of the human condition… man is the only being who knows he is alone.”
Episode 16: Somewhere A Clock Is Taking
Lucas: “Kahil Gibran once wrote, “Your reason and your passion are the rudder and sails of your seafaring soul. If either be broken, you can but toss and drift or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas. For reason, running alone is a forced confining. Compassion unattended is a flame that burns to its own destruction.”
Lucas: “Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always. A promise. Like a reward for persisting through life so long alone. The belief in each other and the possibility of love. A decision, to ignore or simply rise above the pain of the past. The covenant, which at once binds two souls and yet severs prior ties. The celebration, of the chance taken, and the challenge that lies ahead. For two will always be stronger than one. Like a team, braced against the tempest’s of the world. And love… will always be the guiding force in our lives. For tonight is mere formality… only an announcement to the world for feelings long held. Promises made long ago - in the sacred space of our hearts.”
Episode 17: Something I Can Never Have
Lucas: “Charles Bukowski once wrote; ‘There will always be something to ruin our lives. It all depends on what or which finds us first. You’re always ripe and ready to be taken.”
Episode 19: I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning
Lucas: “Joseph Conrad once wrote; Who knows what true happiness is? Not the conventional word but the naked terror. To the lonely themselves, it wears a mask. The most miserable outcast hugs some memory or some illusion.”
Lucas: “Stephen King once wrote: ‘Time takes it all, whether you want it to or not. Time takes it all, time bears it away,… and in the end… there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometime we lose them there again.”
Episode 20: Lifetime Piling Up
Nathan: “Douglas Adams once wrote: ‘He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream, and he sometimes wondered whose it was, and whether they were enjoying it.”
Episode 22: The Tide That Left And Never Came Back
Lucas: “And Hansel said to Gretel, let us drop these breadcrumbs so that together we find our way home. Because losing our way would be the most cruel of things. This year… I lost my way.”
Nathan: “And losing your way on a journey is unfortunate. But, losing your reason for the journey s a fate more cruel.”
Peyton: “The journey lasted eight months. Sometimes I travelled alone, Sometimes, there were others- who took the wheel and took my heart. But when the destination was reached… it wasn’t me who arrived it wasn’t me at all.”
Brooke: “And once you lose yourself, you have two choices: ind the person you used to be, or lose that person completely.”
Mouth: “Because, sometimes, you have to step outside of the person you’ve been. And remember the person you were meant to be. The person you wanted to be. The person you are.”
Brooke: “George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart’s desire. The other is to gain it.” Clearly, Shaw had his heart broken once or twice.”
Nathan: “As far as I’m concerned, Shaw was a punk. ‘Cause you know what? Tragedies happen. What are you gonna do? Give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you’re still alive. ‘Cause you are, and that pain you feel, that’s life. The confusion and fear, that’s there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better. And that ‘something’ is worth fighting for.”
Haley: “This year I got everything I wanted and everything I wished for. But, in a way, I lost even more.”

| Lucas: “Shaw was right. As we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our lives better, – money, popularity, fame – we ignore what truly matters. The simple things. Like friendship, family, love. The things we probably already had.”
Mouth: “So Mr. Shaw thinks that getting your heart’s desire is a tragedy? I say he’s wrong. I mean, clearly Shaw never kissed Erica Marsh.”
Peyton: “Yes, losing your heart’s desire is tragic. But gaining your heart’s desire, it’s all you can hope for. This year I wished for love. To immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart, long, afraid to feel. My wish was granted. If having that is tragic, then give me tragedy.”
Episode 23: The Leaving Song
Lucas: “Tennessee Williams once wrote, “We all live in a house on fire – no fire department to call, no way out. Just the upstairs window to look out of while the fire burns the house down with us trapped in it.”
Episode 1: Like You Like An Arsonist
Peyton: “At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men at war with good, and some are good struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes all you need is one.”
Episode 2: From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea
Lucas: “Henry David Thoreau once wrote, ‘Live each season as it passes, breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.’ ”

Episode 4: An Attempt To Tip The Scales
Lucas: “Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "There is no privacy that cannot be penetrated. No secret can be kept in a civilized world. Society is a masked ball where everyone hides his real character, then reveals it by hiding.”
Episode 6: Locked Hearts And Hand Grenades
Lucas: “Out of the night that covers me, black as the pick from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for my incomparable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced or cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance, my head is bloody but unbowed.”
Episode 8: The Worst Day Since Yesterday
Lucas: “Robert Louis Stevenson wrote, "You cannot run away from weakness. You must fight it out or perish; and if that be so, why not now and where you stand?”
Episode 10: Brave New World
Lucas: “Ida W Scott once wrote, ‘Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone and do not be troubled about the future for it is yet to come. Live in the present and make it so beautiful that it will be worth the memory’”
Episode 11: Return Of The Future
Lucas: “H L Mencken wrote ‘Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats’”
Episode 14: All Tomorrow’s Parties
Lucas: Most of our lives is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway but sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this is instant is more than a fleeing image. We know that this moment every part of it will live on forever.
Episode 15: Just Watch The Fireworks
Whitey: “It's been fifty years, fifty long years, since I've done this. Looking back on what I said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I had. I come to conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to, there's a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over lives disappointment. Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that everyday won't be sunny, and when you find yourself lost in darkness and despair. Remember, it’s only in the black of night that you can see the stars, and those stars will lead you back home. So don’t be afraid to make mistakes. To stumble. To fall. Because most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you will get everything you wish for. Maybe you will get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where live will take you. The road is long and in the end the journey is the destination.”
Episode 16: With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept
Brooke: "You should be ashamed of yourself. There are kids fearing for their lives right now. Terrified that someone's gonna put a gun in their face and pull the trigger and you wanna know how I'm feeling? Our pain is not a caumodity for you. It's not a news bite to boost your ratings because tomorrow, or the next day, or the next week when we go back to school, changed forever by a day that will never leave us, where are you gonna be? At the next tragedy thrusting your microphone in the face of the next fractured person asking them how they feel? Lady that is not journalism. You are not contributing anything to society. You are buzzards circling the carnage, but you prey on the living. That is how I'm feeling, but something tells me you're not gonna air that."
Lucas: “Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty. This hatred. How did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or do we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us? That we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war hoping for their safe return. But knowing some will be lost on the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows, swallowed whole by darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?”
Episode 17: Who Will Survive, And What Will Be Left Of Them?
Lucas: “The stages of our grief: anger, fear, quilt, depression, acceptance and the first seeds of grief."
Episode 18: When It Isn't Like It Should Be
Lucas: “Henry James wrote, 'Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.'"
Lucas: "John Steinbeck once wrote, 'Change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn and it comes like a stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass'"
Episode 19: I Slept With A Guy In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was A Stupid Song Written About Me
Lucas: "George Elliot once wrote 'There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow. When we have not yet known what is to have suffered and healed. To have despaired and recovered hope'"
Episode 20: Everyday Is A Sunday Evening
Nathan: "Stepping up. It's a simple concept. It basically means to rise above yourself; to do a little more, to show you something special. Something like this....Lucas is gone but that doesn't mean the season is over. As a matter of fact, I say it's just beginning. You might want to stay out of my way for a while....Life's funny sometimes; can push pretty hard like when you fall in love with someone but they forget to love you back like when your best friend and your boyfriend leave you alone like when you pull the trigger or light the flame and you can't take it back. Like I said, in sports they call this 'stepping up'. In life, I call it pushing back"
Nathan: "You know it's been said that we just don't recognize the significant moments of our lives while they're happening. We grow complacent with ideas, or things or people and we take them for granted and it's usually not until that thing is about to be taken away from you that you've realized how wrong you've been that you realized how much you need it, how much you love it. God, I love this game."
Nathan: "You ever heard the expression 'The best things in live are free.' Well that expression is true.' Every once in a while, people step up they rise above themselves sometimes they surprise you and sometimes they fall short. Life is funny sometimes. It can push pretty hard but if you look close enough, you can find hope in the words of children, in the bars of the song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back."
Episode 21: Over The Hills And Far Away
Jake: "Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess who lived in a kingdom far far away and in that kingdom, there also lived a boy and the princess loved that boy so the two decided to marry. Now in this kingdom all is not well. So, the princess and the boy were set to be wed and because she was a princess the call went for a beautiful gown. Now as the wedding day approached, the princess worried about the evil king and although he never been this way, his heart had turned dark and his kingdom feared and despised him. In the days before the wedding, the king surprised the princess and gave his blessings to the marriage but the princess was still torn for even though she found her true love it meant she had to leave her faithful handmaiden behind forever. On the eve of the princess' wedding, a lavish feast was arranged. Friends and royalty were summoned from lands far away to join the happy couple for a night of laughter and magic."
Jake: "Once upon a time in a kingdom far away there lived a beautiful princess who loved a boy. But the people have struggles as all people do and they had grown to fear and despise the king whose heart had turned dark. But in the end, the love between the princess and the boy was undeniable and true and overtime, that love would see them through anything. Magical things happened to them things they couldnt explain much like love itself. And like most fairytales, the princess and the boy lived happily ever after."
Episode 22: The Show Must Go On
Lucas: "At this moment there are 6 billion 5 hundred two million 8 hundred and sixty-seven thousand 1 hundred twenty people in the world. Give or take a few and sometimes all you need is one. For better or for worse."
Lucas: "William Shakespeare wrote,'Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. It is never fixed, marked that looks on tempus and is never shaken up. Love alters not with time's brief hours and weeks but bares it out leading to the edge of doom'"
Episode 1: Like You Like An Arsonist
Peyton: “At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth.
Lucas- "My name is Lucas Scott. I'm a senior at Tree Hill High School. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world. Maybe it's nothing like it. But if you look closer you might see someone like you. Or someone like my best friend, Haley. If you're married, a senior in High School, and not sure if your husband is still alive then I'd say your world is a lot like Haley's. Today was supposed to be the best day of her life, but it's amazing how things can change in the blink of an eye. Or in this case in about twenty-nine minutes.
Lucas- Things that take fourteen minutes- Boiling an ostrich egg. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. It also takes fourteen minutes to get to Molina Bridge to Tree Hill Hospital. In those fourteen minutes three lives hung in the balance. For the rest of us, there was nothing to do but wait. I guess that's why they call it "the waiting room." Dan Scott is many things-The Mayor of Tree Hill. A once great High School basketball player. And Nathan's father. He's also my father but he never claimed me. Believe it or not I got the better end of the deal. I was instead raised by my Mom with help from my Uncle Keith. Until Keith's life was taken.
Lucas- "Peyton Sawyer is a good friend. Brooke Davis is my girlfriend. At least for now she is."
Rachel- "Do you think people can change, Brooke? I mean, truly change?" Brooke- "Well, I'd like to say yes, but honestly I don't really think people can change. You know, at the end of the day, you are who you are and it's probably who you've always been." Rachel- "But what if who you've been is pretty horrible?"
Mouth- "Listen to me, you know how you said you were going to tell everyone that you opened the time capsule and I said not to, that you should bury it? I was wrong. And until you face all the mistakes you've made, you'll never change." Rachel- "People don't change." Mouth- "But they can. They just don't because it's easier not to. We're always waiting for our lives to begin, like figuring we'll be someone else someday, but after this accident and losing Jimmy and Keith What are we waiting for? All we have is now Rachel. Don't run from this."
Lucas- "I guess I should have said something, anything. I mean for a guy who wants to be a writer, it suddenly seemed like no words had ever been written. But when someone tells you that they have somehow stopped missing you you're pretty much screwed no matter what you say. See, but there had to be something, right? Something that no one had ever said in the history of the world. Something that could change this? That wasn't it."
Lucas- "My name is Lucas Scott. I'm a senior at Tree Hill High School. I play basketball. At least I used to. I have a girlfriend, at least I used to. And I have a best friend."
Lucas- "Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world. Maybe it's nothing like it. But if you look closer you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way. Someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, or unsatisfied, or barely getting by. That feelings a lie. And if you just hold on. Just find the courage to face it all for another day. Someone or something will find you and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes. Someone to help us hear their music in the world. To remind us that it won't always be this way. That someone is out there. And that someone will find you.
402: Things I Forgot At Birth
Lucas The same thing in this quote. It's just that the one in the beginning is shorter than the one at the end. But I separated them how they came in. By the way I love your new video. It's so awesome. The song is great too. It fits perfectly.
Lucas: There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at crossroads. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown most of us prefer to turn around and go back.
Lucas: There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at crossroads.
Lucas: There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at crossroads. Afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown most of us prefer to turn around and go back. But once in awhile people push on to something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone. And just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in. Or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream. Because it's only when you're tested that you truly discover who you are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person you want to be does exist. Somewhere on the other side of hard work, and faith, and belief. And beyond the heartache, and fear of what lies ahead.
403: Good News For People Who Love Bad News
Lucas: Do you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you.
Dan: It was the only thing I ever knew I was good at. People counted on me and I never let them down. It's the best feeling in the world. And when that went away I didn't know who I was anymore. It's scary when you lose your way. I don't know if you ever find it again.
Lucas: You know what Mouth said? He said that he wished we never left the river court. Skillz: So you think he was right? Lucas: I think things would be a lot easier. You know I know if we never left I wouldn't have lost Brooke twice. And Keith and Jimmy would still be alive. Skillz: Well, that's a real stupid way to think though, dog. I mean considering if you would have never left the river court you would have never got with Brooke twice. You're brother would still be a stranger and rock star Haley Scott- she'd probably be still good old book worm Haley James. You can't hide from life, dog. Eventually you got to live it.
Lucas: You ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other people's lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone's life, or when their dream came true, or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think. You could be a big part of someone else's life and not even know it.
404: Can't Stop This Thing We've Started
Lucas: There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment, you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path? Will others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be haunted by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up.
Lucas: There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment, who will you be? Will you let down your defenses and find solace in someone unexpected? Will you reach out? Will you face your greatest fears bravely? Or move forward with faith? Or will you ser come to the darkness in your soul?
406: Where Did You Sleep Last Night?
Lucas: Life comes at us from out of the darkness. And at times, we can struggle to find the courage to face it.
Lucas: When life comes rushing at you from out of the darkness, who will you choose to face it with? Will it be someone you trust? Will they be wise? And will their love for you help them to guide you to the light? Or will they lose their way in the darkness? Will they make noble choices? Or will that person be someone untested, someone new? Life comes rushing at you from under the darkness when it does is there someone in your life you can count on? Someone who will watch over you when you stumble and fall? And in that moment, give you the strength to face your fears alone.

| 407: Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye
Lucas: Regret comes in all shapes and sizes. Some small. Like when we do a bad thing for a good reason. Some are bigger. Like when we let down a friend. Some of us escape the pangs of regret by making the right choice. Some of us have little time for regret because we're looking forward to the future. Sometimes we have to fight to come to terms with the past. And sometimes we bury our regret by promising to change our ways. But our biggest regrets are not for the things we did but for the things we didn't do. Things we didn't say that could have saved someone we care about. Especially when we can see the dark storm that's headed their way.
Episode 1: 4 Years, 6 Months and 2 Days
Lucas Scott (voiceover): Sometimes it feels like it was yesterday. We graduated high school, saying goodbye. That feeling that you get at seventeen or eighteen that nobody in the history of the world has ever been this close, has ever loved as fiercely or laughed as hard or cared as much. Sometimes it feels like it was yesterday and sometimes it feels like someone else’s memory.
Peyton: Hi, it's Peyton. Yeah, I'm sorry. I know it's late there, I just... what happened to us? You know? I don't know who I am anymore. Or how I got here. I miss who I used to be. I wanna have a home again, ya know? And real friends. You know, the kind of friendships we used to believe in. I miss that. And I miss you. I guess I just miss all of it. Does any of that make any sense?
Brooke: Yeah, it makes all the sense in the world, Peyton. Four years ago, it all seemed so clear, didn't it? Conquer the world, save the world, live happily ever after. Peyton: Are you happy, Brooke? Brooke: Sometimes. Not always. Are you? Peyton: No. Brooke: Okay, then let me ask you something. What is gonna make you happy, Peyton? Is it how you look? Or the car you drive or the people you know? Is it money or celebrity or power or accomplishments? Because I have all those things and I don't think it's enough. Peyton: Well then, what is? Brooke: Love, I think. And that love can be for a boy or a girl or a place or a way of life or even for a family. But where you find it is up to you. So where are you gonna find that love, Peyton? Peyton: I think I need to go home. Brooke: Yeah. I was hoping you'd say that.
Episode 2: Racing Like A Pro
Lucas (voiceover): My name is Lucas Scott. Four years ago I graduated high school with my friends. Brooke Davis moved to New York City and found success. Peyton Sawyer went to Los Angeles, success didn’t come so easily. I wrote a novel and fell for my editor, Lindsey. My brother Nathan saw his dreams vanish, leaving his wife Haley and their son Jaime more fragile than ever. Things have changed in four years, but in many ways this is just the beginning.
Haley: The rest of your life is a long time and whether you know it or not it's being shaped right now. You can choose to blame your circumstances on fate or bad luck or bad choices or you can fight back. Things aren't always going to be fair in the real world, that's just the way it is but for the most part you get what you give. Let me ask you all a question. What's worse not getting everything you wished for or getting it but finding out it's not enough? The rest of your life is being shaped right now with the dreams you chase, the choices you make and the person you decide to be. The rest of your life is a long time and the rest of your life starts right now.

| In your life you're going to go to some great places, and you're going to do some wonderful things. But no matter where you go or who you become, this place will always be with you. There is only one Tree Hill. And it's your home (Karen) | |
